Owned by Nicholas from Toronto, ON
“This vehicle is a ’56 Chevy Bel Air Convertible, 265 CID V8, three-on-the-tree transmission, in original colours Twilight Turquoise/India Ivory, in show condition. It was a rotisserie/frame-off total restoration down to the bolts, and was made at the GM facility in Tarrytown, New York in 1956.
I was originally searching for a “tri-5” (“55, ’56 or ’57) vintage Chevy convertible and had looked over many listings in various sites and happened to come upon this vehicle from R&R Classic Cars. It was in the time-honoured colours I was looking for and I had already focused on the ’56 out of the famous trio of Chevy cars which made Chevrolet’s name in that era.
This vintage is very roomy and I had 6 seat belts installed, since it can comfortably accommodate 3 couples (and another two in the trunk!). It was a dream come true for me and I feel very lucky and privileged to own this beast. My 90 year-old mother thinks it is hot.”
One word describes this 56 Chevy Convertible….”GORGEOUS”
