Check out this stunning 1969 Pontiac Firebird, proudly owned by Joe from Baden. This classic car has undergone an incredible transformation, bringing it back to its former glory and then some.
Joe, who first owned a similar Firebird at 18, embarked on a comprehensive restoration journey. The car was taken down to its bare frame and rebuilt using a combination of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and high-quality reproductions.
Joe replaced the upper and lower firewalls, one-piece floor pans, trunk, inner and outer wheel wells, brand new quarter panels, and rear light valance. The restoration also includes OEM fenders, a new front end, doors, and a convertible top, essentially merging three cars into one.
Under the hood, Joe is ensuring this Firebird is both powerful and reliable. Originally housing a 400 engine, Joe sourced a period-correct 400 engine from British Columbia. He’s upgraded the internals with an aftermarket crank, rods, and pistons to enhance reliability. Additionally, he’s fitted the engine with Ram Air III or IV heads and a Ram Air intake, aiming to boost the car’s value significantly.
Joe’s dedication to maintaining the car’s period-correct appearance while enhancing its performance is truly remarkable. This 1969 Firebird isn’t just a classic car; it’s a testament to Joe’s passion and meticulous craftsmanship.
Join us in celebrating Joe from Baden’s 1969 Pontiac Firebird, a true classic brought back to life!
