1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS

Posted On August 1, 2020

Owned by Howard from Newmarket, ON

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 built in the Van Nuys California plant approx September 1969, car number 317 per the VIN. I have the original build sheet, a bit faded and missing a corner or two but enough to show the Z25 option that made a Malibu into a Chevelle SS which included the 396 V8 350 HP.

Additional options are: C60 air conditioning, C08 vinyl top, D55 centre console with special lock (rare), F41 special performance suspension {with anti-sway bar rear-end}, N10 dual exhaust, ZL2 cowl induction hod and even U35 dash clock. 29 options in total include PS, disc PB, drip rails, tinted windows, SS gauge package, tachometer, etc.

The car has everything as it was produced except the AM radio is now a Custom Autosound USA-230, AM/FM/MP3 stereo 4 speaker system.

My son Michael is a movie fan and he has presented me at Xmas with a model of the 1970 Chevelle SS396 used in the movie John Wick. That car had no vinyl top and third party mags, mine has original production Rally wheels with F70X14 white lettered Goodyear Polyglas per option PL4 as part of the 29 options.
