The 1973 Vega was turned into a Drag car in 1976 by the original owner and raced 1/4 mile until the early 2000. In 2013 when I bought the Vega we did further modifications to make it street legal. Originally I said I would only paint the car and then one thing lead to another and out came VEGABOND 3 years later..
1973 Chevrolet Vega is covered in white..The interior designed by me and my brother Enzo is Basketball colored with dark grey accents. A Chevy 427ci under and through the hood with a Turbo 400 transmission and Ford 9″ rear with 390 gears.
Not a daily driver but one that I will get some miles cruising around at car shows.
VEGABOND came top 10 at the 2019 Autorama Show in Toronto ON. Also Peoples Choice at the 2019 London Speed and Custom show. Then went to the 2019 Goodguys PPG Nationals in Columbus OH and achieved an excellence award also at the same time ScottieDTV YouTube Channel caught wind and did a shoot of the Vega!
Also at the 2019 Goodguys PPG Nationals in Columbus OH, Dave Kindig and the Bitchin rides crew stopped by to look at the Vega and the very cool thing that I loved the most was they aired the Vega on their show.
