“The 1977 Trans Am became part of our family on May 16 2002 . It was Brentwood Brown in color with a Buckskin interior.
After researching the history of our car we discovered that it originated in Medicine Hat Alberta at the Jack Stephanson Pontiac- Buick Dealership. It was one of 2,959 imported to Canada with the W72 performance package.
We drove the car for about 3 years –replacing parts as needed. It was at this point that we met Jesse at JH Restorations in Windsor—and the discussion about a restoration began. We mapped out a long term plan to bring our car to what it is today. We wanted to keep the car looking original but made several upgrades along the way including rear disc brakes, power windows, vintage air conditioning, 17 inch wheels and tires etc. We did not want the car to look like the” Bandit” version which was the black and gold combination.
It took about 10 months to find our color combination which is” Crystal lake blue” with the original Light Buckskin interior.
Early in 2015 we decided it was time for a performance upgrade so we decide to upgrade the 400 cubic inch engine to a 461 stoker. The results were incredible!! We finally completed the Trans AM to what we envisioned 10 years ago!
I want to thank the entire crew at JH Restorations for all their help in restoring my car to what it is today!!”
Is it possible to contact Robert?
Because I changed the original motor, intake & carb I have a setup which is to tall to accomodate the original shaker. I would like to know how Robert was able to use the shaker?
Thanks,
Al
